Class Philosophy:

Miss Sally's goal for the children who attend Strawberry Patch Parent Cooperative Preschool is to provide them an environment that promotes and encourages learning in a safe, appropriate and loving way.  Children learn best when they are actively involved and engaged in hands on experiences.  The curriculum and activities are child centered not teacher directed, and are meant to encourage children to ask questions, investigate, make predictions and problem solve.  Most importantly, children will be provided ample time to play - to be together, to talk and to share with one another.  Through play children will be given the opportunity to practice their social and physical skills as well as to increase their intellectual, vocabulary and language skills by make believing and creating. 
                Additionally, Miss Sally values each child and their family, and the special attributes and knowledge they bring to the classroom.  Ms. Sally's goal is to develop reciprocal relationships with the families at Strawberry Patch and create a classroom environment where children and adults can share in the learning process, have positive and loving interactions, and have fun!
